In winds that carry microplastics from the sea
A hundred thousand tons a year, as we see
Do cups for takeaway vanish from our hands?
Do fewer cars drive across our lands?
With protests and collective actions we fight
Plogging along beaches and streets in the night
Companies boast of ESG deeds so grand
Yet are these truly helping the land?
Are these but cloaks of deceit, all too clever?
Feigned actions for the environment, true efforts never
Beneath this guise of green lies a lie ever so bitter
