In realms where fantasy breathes and superheroes reign
Unfettered, fearless, wielding powers arcane
In stark contrast, we mortals feel the strain
On subway tracks that mimic squirrel's vain race
In sweltering heat, rubbing sleep from our face
The chasm widens 'twixt the real and dream
Our lives mundane, far from animation's gleam
Yearning for escape grows with each day's scheme
Seeking portals to a world where we can soar
Away from humdrum lives forevermore
Oh to live as heroes in a tale untold!
Yet here we are in reality’s cold hold
