In the shaded front yard where laundry is hung to dry

The scent of frozen grass flutters along the wind's path

Cupping a mug of herbal tea, the fireplace maintains

The warmth on the carpet with its mild power, and so on

With ears pricked up, it sniffs the scent mixed with human smell and the glimmer of a child's eye

The discordant sound of a bird's flapping wings is heard

When the tea contained in the glass cup touches the lips

Despite the colder weather, the heart finds comfort

And in a soft voice, this scenery is recited
